King’s School Prospectus
Guess what we did today?
7.45 am
School Start
Arrive at school
on foot. Bit late
so rush to get my
euphonium from
my music locker
for Jazz Band
Practice.
Today we are
practising our
new piece for the
Showcase – one
of my favourites,
Smoke on the
Water.
8.20am
Chapel
Catch up with my
friends coming out
of Chapel. Seems
I missed a good
one, with Father
John standing
on balloons!
Class meeting
and hand my Prep
book in. Notice
about billeting the
Medbury boys –
I will ask Mum if
we can host some.
8.30am
Maths
We are working on
our line symmetry
today.
Last week we laid
a grid over a photo
of our face and
then cut it in half to
draw the other half
using the grid.
Now we are
enlarging them.
9.30am
Science
Cool. Today we
are testing PH
indicators using
red cabbage.
Tom and I are
working together
and nothing
happens at first!
Finally we get it
right and fill all
the test tubes.
Awesome colours!
10.20am
Morning Tea
Grab Mum’s
banana muffin and
drink bottle and
rush to find Angus
and Will in the
amphitheatre
to play four square.
Headmaster came
down to play with
us.
10.40am
Social Studies
Today we are
comparing and
contrasting the
leadership styles
of two famous
leaders.
I chose Nelson
Mandela
and Brendon
McCullum.
11.30am
French
We watch 8Le
doing a fashion
show in French.
Sam was an
awesome
announcer on the
mike. He sounded
really French to
me!
12.00pm
Group Study
Working on our
animated movies
in one of the
breakout areas.
Today we are
turning them into
a commercial.
12.30pm
Lunchtime
I have ordered
from the kitchen
today. Great...
sushi!
Mr Warwick told
me to get a haircut
soon. Mum was
right I will have to
do it now.
Played touchball
with my friends on
the Astro – Jordan
is so good at it.
1.30pm
Art
Put the finishing
touches to
my Auckland
landscape today.
Used a cool new
technique with
acrylics that Mrs
Byers showed me.
It gave it amazing
texture.
She is going to put
it in our exhibition
in the local
shopping centre.
Mum will be
pleased!
2.30pm
Sports Practice
Mr Weston is
helping us with our
lineouts today.
Can’t wait for our
match next week
against Dilworth.
3.40pm
Home Time
Yay, not much
homework tonight.
Just reading and
some research on
Jack Lovelock.
Meet James, Ollie
and Tepaki and
walk home.
Nana’s coming for
dinner tonight.
