Tug o’
Inter-House
E
very year on the school’s birthday,
we come together as a school and
commemorate our rich history. At
a full School Assembly on the morning of
Friday June 7th, this year was no different
for our 91st birthday. We have a tradition
where the smallest boy in the school and
the tallest boy both cut the traditional
cake together. This year the honours
were done by Alfonso Camunas in the
Early Learning Centre and Amosa Gould
in Year 7.
Then it is down to the Astro for the
traditional Inter-House Tug o’ War
challenge! House teams battled it out in
their different age group until eventually
Bruce House emerged as this year’s winners.
Headmaster had even selected a team of
boys to challenge the staff, well anchored by
Father John, and a tough ask as most of the
boys seemed to be Early Learning Centre
boys! Altogether it was a great birthday
afternoon for the whole school.
